When is the best time to start a home-based business? This is a question I hear people ask a lot! So, I am going to do my best to help answer that question!
January
It’s the new year and you have made a lot of new years resolutions and one of them is starting a new business. You really want to make this year different from the rest. You’re thinking of all the things you are going to do and realize that starting a new online business may not be at the top of your priorities. With all these other things you promised to get started you figure the home based business can wait till next month.
February
OK you’re ready! you got through the first month of resolutions! (Congratulations! on your success so far!) Now you’re thinking that you’re ready, but wait Valentines is coming up and you can’t forget to get that someone special that perfect gift! Don’t forget all the credit card payments that are coming in. Maybe next month! (Shop here)
March.
You have been working hard and the kids have been doing well in school. It’s time to get away for a week for March break! You know it’s the family trip you take every year. OK next month! That is when your going to get started for sure.
April.
The nice weather is starting to show up it’s time to get out and get that garden ready and don’t forget that Easter is just around the corner. You are going to be traveling to see family and just to busy doing all the spring cleaning to even think about getting a new business started!
May.
Summer is almost here but first you have Mother’s Day to get through and of course there are birthdays and anniversaries to deal with. The kids are almost finished school, so we have to start planning what to do with them over the summer.
June, July, August.
The summer is here and you tell yourself that this is going to be the summer that you travel and spend more time with the family. You have so much to plan and do that there is no way you can even think about getting started in a home-based business! You plan on doing as much as you can with family and friends!
September.
OK the kids are back to school, and you have had an amazing summer getting as much as possible done in the time you had away from work. Now you have to get the kids back on track for school and making sure they do their homework. Making sure that everything gets back in routine. You’re thinking OK next month everything will be back to normal.
October.
The fall means Thanksgiving (If you’re Canadian) Got to make sure that goes off without a hitch! then there is Halloween, and you have to make sure the house is the best on the street! Got to figure out what the kids will be wearing.
November.
OK the year is almost up and you have made the decision that this is going to be the month to get started! There is nothing that is going to stop you! Wait Christmas is around the corner do you have enough money put away for it? There is also Thanksgiving (For all the Americans) that we have to be ready for! Maybe next month.
December.
You look at where you are this month and think this is going to be the worst time to start a new business. Nobody will want to hear about it and nobody is going to want to join you in a new business. Well, there is always the next month, and you decide that you will start in January!
The Best Time Is….
Right now is the best time to get started with any new business! There will always be a reason not to get started. You just need to decide to get started and not let anything get in your way!
Remember in order for things to change, you need to change! Sit down with the family and let them know that things are going to be different and that is a good thing! Tell them how you want to be able to have more or do more with them in the future! Now is always the best time to make life better for you and your family!
I always suggest making a plan on how you’re going to make things work! Have the family create a dream board. I love these because you can add short term goals as well as long term goals.
